
All of these missions are currently in progress in outer space.
The Galileo spacecraft has been circling the Jovian system
for many months now, including many close fly-bys of several
interesting moons.
The Lunar
Prospector has circled the moon
well over 100 times on its hunt for water!
Communication with the spacecraft was lost on June 26th,

The SOHO (SOlar Heliospheric Observatory) satelite
contiues to provide a continuous influx of data from its
observational vantage point in space.
The Mars Global Surveyor is on a major mapping
mission.
The NEAR (Near Earth Asteroid
Rendezvous) spacecraft will arrive at EROS 433 in May 2000
(updated due to a burn abort in 12/98) .
