Last night we went to Kentucky Fried Chicken and then to an American
movie.
We saw "Kazaam" or "Magic Man" (in Chinese). It stars the basketball
player, Shaq O'Neal. It was dubbed over in Chinese. It
was very funny to
see a big basketball player speaking Chinese!!
I'd better go to prepare for afternoon class. I'll write more later!

I'm very glad you took Nikki to the vet!! How many fox tails did
they remove?
Were they in her throat, also, or only her nose? Pooooooorrr
Niiiiikkkkkiiiii!!!!
I feel so sorry for her!! I'm glad you're taking good care of
her!! Give her
at least 10 minutes worth of strokes from me, O.K.?
Today in class, the students worked in groups to write skits about the
medical clinic (we have been studying medical vocabulary and discussing
American medicine, doctors' offices and hospitals) . On the board
I had
written, "Sally's Acting School
-- Lights, Camera, Action!" After writing
the skits, the students began their performances. The ones we
have seen so
far are very entertaining . . . Everything from toothaches, to car
accidents, to a child faking illness so she could stay home from school
to
watch the World Cup. We will finish the performances tomorrow.
I am
videotaping their skits and we'll show it to the students at a party
on
Friday afternoon. Lucy, Marlene, Lynne and I will also record
ourselves in
a "surprise" skit at the end of the video. Then I think I'll
plan some sort
of Chinese Academy Awards ceremony. Should be fun!!
. . . Tell Sheba hello for me too!
Love, Sally
