Hi sweetie, the electricity was off here for a while, so I couldn't
get
on-line at lunch. It's about 2:30 now. I have tons of work
to do, so I
can't write a long message like I thought I could. I have lots
of great
things to tell you though (to post on the net), so I'll try to
write them
in the next few days. I woke up this morning at 4:30 with some serious
stomach cramping and then spent a half hour in the bathroom in the
dark
(the electricity was out). We think the mosquitos planned the
whole thing
because while I was in the bathroom in the dark, I got three mosquito
bites!! They are officially ahead on the scoreboard. I
took some
medication … and I was feeling much better by classtime at 8 a.m.
Sun
had come in to eat lunch with us yesterday and had shared her
lunch with us (it was a meat dish from a restaurant). It was
delicious, but
evidently it was bad, because all the teachers who had ordered this
take-out
lunch from the restaurant ended up on the toilet early this morning.
She
was going to go back to the restaurant and complain.
I don't know yet how bad packing will be. We're raffling off a
lot of the
teaching materials to the students tomorrow. That will lighten
the load.
But we have a lot of gifts that we have received. We have given
away many
of the gifts that we brought and we will be giving away many more before
we
leave.
I must go get a LOT of work done . . . more later. Thanks for
